About Emerging Minds

Emerging Minds started as a place to learn Python and dabble in AI. It’s since turned into something else: a running investigation into how the AI industry actually works, who’s funding what, whose numbers hold up, and whose don’t.

That means digging into things most coverage skips over. Reading the S-1 filing instead of the press release. Checking what a benchmark actually measures before repeating the score. Following the money in a $85 billion capital raise, or the incentives buried in a new payment protocol for AI agents. The goal isn’t to react to AI news faster than everyone else, it’s to explain what it means once the initial noise dies down.

There’s still a learning thread running through it too: an ongoing series working through the fundamentals of machine learning and deep learning, from first principles up through architectures like convolutional neural networks. The industry analysis and the education series feed each other: you understand the business better when you understand how the models work, and vice versa.

“I’m Olivier, a Sales Director, writing this on evenings and weekends because I couldn’t find the analysis I wanted to read elsewhere.”

If you want the same thing (clear-eyed, well-sourced takes on where AI is actually headed) you’re in the right place.
